"Janji melayu"

You have to believe in yourself. That makes sense, doesn't it? Well, but before you could
believe in yourself, you have to BELIEVE YOURSELF! I read that somewhere, sometime ago..

Many people are total wimps when it comes to promises and commitment. When they say they
will do something, and the actual fact is they do not, or perhaps it does not even come
across their mind that they would. They promise they will help you, and they go shopping.
They promise they will come at 7, yes, they do come but at 8. That is what my
friend taught me, hmm, it is called "janji melayu" in the malay language. Then they wonder
why their life does not work!

For crying out loud, only commit to something if you know you will follow through. If
possible, makes less promises and less commitment..but whatever you say you will do it, do
it! Gradually your word becomes law for you...and that is when you really believe in
yourself!
