Recycled mask

Today was my first time ever stepping into the operation theatre in Russia. Our surgery lecturer had a conference to attend so a young, lady surgeon in her late twenties took over our class. She's a good surgeon, but inclined to be a bit impatient. She gave us practically no time to get prepped. Lacking a mask, I had no choice but to ask around for masks and I eventually managed to get one not-so-clean, "second-hand" mask from a guy friend of mine. Such a contrast to the main purpose of wearing a mask, intended for hygienic purposes, I actually recycled it! It was even more disgusting to find strand of short, black hairs which I reckoned was his leftover shaved moustache! However terrible and pung ent the smell might be, I still had to express my gratitude for his "save-my-life" mask. Thanks dude!
